Welcome to Class 1 - EYFS

In Class 1, we want our children to be enthusiastic, confident and successful in everything they do and most importantly enjoy learning.

We promote a love of learning through our children’s natural interests enhanced with rich played based learning opportunities; in a classroom which welcomes children’s natural curiosity and wonder, and is a place where we question and explore our world.

Children are taught through purposeful, creative and hands on experiences. In the Early Years we love nature and are very lucky to have a wonderful outdoor space to explore in come rain or shine.

We encourage children to ‘have a go’ and to be confident in their abilities, as well as create strong bonds across both Nursery and Reception.

Whilst in Class 1, children make special friendships which continue through school and beyond. Staff make sure that they get to know all children as individuals which enables children to feel valued and trust those around them.

In the Early Years we understand the importance of providing not only high-quality teaching and learning but exceptional care for every individual.
